China-based precision bearing manufacturer XCC Group is investing US$219m (€192m) in a new manufacturing facility in Batangas, Philippines, strengthening industrial production capacity for automotive and advanced engineering supply chains. The investment reflects continued manufacturing expansion in Southeast Asia as producers seek strategically located sites to support global operations and supply resilience.
The Philippine Business and News reported that the company will establish the facility at the First Philippine Industrial Park in Batangas, with operations expected to support growing international demand for precision bearing products used across automotive, industrial machinery and high-performance engineering applications.
XCC Group manufactures bearings and precision mechanical components serving sectors including electric vehicles, renewable energy equipment, rail transport and industrial automation. The Batangas investment forms part of broader efforts by manufacturers to diversify production footprints and strengthen regional supply chains amid shifting global trade dynamics.
According to the report, the project is expected to create employment opportunities while enhancing the Philippines’ position as a destination for advanced manufacturing investment. Industrial parks in the country have increasingly attracted electronics, automotive and engineering manufacturers seeking access to skilled labour and export infrastructure.
Precision bearings remain a critical component across manufacturing systems, supporting performance in motors, machinery and automated industrial equipment. Rising demand from electric vehicle production and industrial automation has increased investment across component manufacturing and engineering supply chains globally.
The move underscores growing confidence in Southeast Asian manufacturing ecosystems as companies continue expanding production networks to improve efficiency, reduce supply risk and support long-term international demand.
The Batangas facility is expected to strengthen XCC Group’s regional manufacturing footprint while contributing additional industrial capability to the Philippines’ precision engineering sector.
