Ulster Bank fuels Wrightbus drive for global growth

Wrightbus has secured £32.5 million from Ulster Bank to ramp up production of its zero-emission buses. The funding, part of a wider £150 million facility, will support working capital needs as the Ballymena-based manufacturer eyes international expansion. With 95% of its 1,200 annual bus output already zero-emission, Wrightbus is strengthening its position as a decarbonisation leader while sustaining 2,300 direct jobs and 7,500 across its supply chain. The flexible facility will help the company accelerate builds to meet rising global demand for greener fleets.
