Iseki, the Japanese manufacturer known for compact tractors and ride-on mowers, is celebrating 100 years of engineering excellence in 2025 while announcing Alan Prickett as the new managing director for its UK and Ireland operations.

Founded in Japan in 1925, Iseki has been active in Europe for over 50 years and introduced compact tractors to the UK in the mid-1970s. The company has built a reputation for precision engineering, reliability, and innovative machinery designed for agriculture, estates, greenhouses, and grounds maintenance.

Alan Prickett succeeds Dave Withers at the end of the year. Prickett brings nearly three decades of experience in operational and business development roles, including 23 years at Ransomes Jacobsen, where he rose to managing director. Since rejoining Iseki UK & Ireland in 2020, he has overseen operational and sales activities and contributed to strategic growth in both domestic and export markets.

The company’s product portfolio includes the TG6 IQ l compact tractor range, featuring dual-clutch transmission, electronic shuttle, and lifting capacities suited to farmyards and estates. The TLE series offers a premium-economy option with 40hp to 55hp diesel engines, HST or mechanical transmissions, and 1,000–1,200kg lift capacity. Iseki also supplies versatile ride-on mowers such as the SXG327 with mid-mounted decks and advanced collection systems, and remote-controlled machines like the Raymo for difficult terrain.

David Withers, outgoing MD, praised Prickett’s experience and confidence in the company’s future growth, underscoring Iseki’s long-term stability and commitment to manufacturing excellence in the UK and Ireland.
