Philippines-based Figaro Culinary Group is enhancing its manufacturing capabilities and export readiness with the expansion of Figaro Innovation and Development Inc. (FIDI), a wholly owned subsidiary dedicated to food innovation and production.

The move was formalised with a ceremonial signing of a Supplemental Agreement between FIDI and the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) in Pasay City, reaffirming FIDI’s status as a PEZA-registered export enterprise. Operations are centred at the Laguna Technopark – Special Economic Zone, supporting the production of items including the Group’s Anghel Kape coffee mixes and other food innovations.

FIDI was created to scale Figaro Culinary Group’s food production beyond its retail brands while building operational capabilities for both domestic distribution and future international markets. The initiative focuses on developing new food formats, improving production efficiency, and strengthening quality standards to align with global requirements.

“This agreement supports Figaro Culinary Group’s broader vision of expanding its food platforms beyond retail, strengthening manufacturing and positioning our brands for future growth,” said Jose Petronio Español, president and chief financial officer of FIDI.

PEZA Director General Tereso Panga highlighted the role of companies like FIDI in driving innovation and inclusive growth within economic zones, underlining the importance of strategic partnerships between businesses and government bodies.

The expansion demonstrates Figaro Culinary Group’s commitment to innovation-led growth, leveraging specialised manufacturing infrastructure and economic zone incentives to accelerate production, enhance product quality, and prepare for export opportunities. With FIDI’s strengthened capabilities, the Group aims to meet increasing demand in domestic and international markets while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
